We had a pleasant overall experience at Mountain Valley Retreat. The breakfast selection was well prepared and delicious, especially the coffee and pancakes. The rooms were reasonably spacious and the feather pillows were a nice touch. The service was excellent overall, and we appreciated the convenience of on-site parking. It was a bonus that there was no charge for wake-up service and ironing as well.

I recently had the pleasure of staying at a charming B&B nestled in the picturesque mountains of Vermont. The hotel's attention to detail and warm, friendly service truly made it feel like a home away from home. The staff went above and beyond to ensure a comfortable stay, and the rooms offered stunning views of the surrounding valley. Not to mention, the authentic Vermont maple syrup served at breakfast was a delightful treat. It's no wonder this hotel is located within 3 miles of all the attractions in the area, making it the perfect base for exploring the beauty of Vermont.
No aspects for improvement were noted.

Great location close to skiing, charming house, amazing views. Our stay was fantastic - the complimentary breakfast and Wi-Fi were appreciated. The location was perfect with beautiful views. The house was charming and cozy, and the hosts were very friendly and accommodating. The privacy of the rooms and the open floor plan of the downstairs were great.
Lack of private guest area and no en-suite. The only drawbacks were the lack of a private area for guests and no en-suite.

During my stay at a charming retreat nestled amidst the breathtaking mountains, I was treated to a magical hike by the host, Mike. He made me feel like family, showing me a picturesque waterfall and sharing his knowledge of the area. The breakfast he prepared using vegetables from his garden and eggs laid by his hens was absolutely delicious. The house itself was stunning, with garret rooms that had raised beds and windows that opened to the soothing sound of a nearby stream. This truly Vermont experience in both locale and hospitality is highly recommended. I am delighted with my stay at Mountain Valley Retreat.
